I always get the question from my clients…’where do you think we should do our pictures?’  My answer is always the same…’somewhere that is meaningful to you as a couple’.

When given this answer, Kerry and Ashton asked me to do their shoot on her parent’s acreage and his grandmother’s farm.     These are a few of the pictures that emerged from their wedding day.  I hope they will treasure these forever.

Congratulations on your marriage and thank you for being such a great couple.  I wish you two all the best!!

I was up in Athabasca again this past weekend for another beautiful wedding (which I will post tomorrow).  Laurie so graciously asked me to post a couple more pictures from her wedding.  So here you go Laurie, I hope you enjoy this.

Little P was a true sleeping beauty at our newborn session.  She was 7 days old when we took these and was such a doll.  She would let me move her without fuss and was game for just about anything, as long as she was warm and felt cuddled.

J and S, you have a beautiful family and it was such as pleasure to meet you.  Thank you for inviting me into your loving home, I truly felt welcomed.  Congratulations on your little bundle and all the best in the years to come.

New Albums

May 21, 2009

I love these new albums.  They are classy, beautiful and can be a little funky.  The first one is a 5×5 album perfect for those newborn or family sessions.  They are great gifts for grandparents or even just to carry around to show-off your fabulous images.  But, of course, they come in different sizes (up to 12×12).

The next albums are perfect for an engagement or wedding album.

For those of you who follow my blog and/or site, you know that I am in the process of finishing up an education degree.  Well, I met Laurie a couple of years ago in a very boring sociology class.  We sat beside each other complaining away about different aspects of the class (she didn’t know I was a photographer).  So last summer I shot Andie and Adam’s wedding in Athabasca (see my featured gallery) and little did I know that Laurie was her bridesmaid!!  How small is this world?

Fast forward one year and once again I found myself in beautiful northern Alberta!!  Laurie and Joel make an outstanding couple.   We did a lot of the couple shots on the land that they own together, got engaged on and will be building their dream house on soon.  So add in a couple llamas, a beautiful 1956 Lincoln Continental Mark II, some gorgeous skies, fabulous couple and two eager photographers and this is what you get…

Hope you like your sneak peek!! I will blog more soon.48

Dad, I can already hear you saying…’I can’t believe you let her DO that!!’.

To all you car enthusiasts, Laurie was not sitting on the paint, we put another piece of soft fabric on the car, lifted her on and made sure that the lace was not rubbing on the paint.   The utmost care was taken in this picture due to the rarity and expense of this car.
