Alise and Matthew were married in a very small ceremony one year ago and they decided that they were missing some pictures of the two of them together.  So I set out for Red Deer, not really knowing what I was going to encounter.  But our session was absolutely fantastic!!  Matthew kept us rolling with laughter and Alise was stunning.  What more could I ask for?

So enjoy your pictures Alise and Matthew.  It was hard to choose which ones to post.

There is a question that runs through my mind from time to time….’who am I as a photographer’?   That question is hard to answer, but necessary to explore if I want to do my job to the best of my ability.  So, today, this is what I have determined…this is what I love, I am a photographer who loves to bring out the best in people.  It is my goal to have my couples go beyond ‘cheese’ and find a connection between them.   Are they passionate, loving, reserved or shy.  I have such little time to figure this out, but I think my attempt at knowing each couple is what keeps me motivated each and every day.   So, ultimately, I think I am a photographer who attempts to capture what people are feeling and turn it into art.

So Bart and Janet, I hope you enjoy your art.  You are two very special people who are  completely made for each other.  It was my privilege (and my husbands) to spend the day with the two of you.

Enjoy.

I had the pleasure to shoot Michelle and Steven’s wedding last weekend (and their engagement session last November).  They are such a cute couple.  Michelle has a quiet elegance to her, while Steven is outgoing and ready for a fun time (so they compliment each other nicely).

I hope you had a great time on your honeymoon and I hope you enjoy your pictures.  Thank you for trusting me with your wedding memories.

I can’t wait to shoot Angela and Chris’ wedding in the fall.  They are so much fun to be around and are always laughing and having a great time.   Hopefully I have shown that in their images (along with their strict criteria of not being too stiff and formal).  Together they decided to do a very urban engagement session in contrast to their wedding pictures which will be done in the country.   Nice!!

Enjoy!!  See you in the fall.

I am really struggling with what to write in this blog.  Do I talk about the beautiful couple (inside and out), the amazing destination or the family and friends who made me feel so welcome and part of the group.  Okay, so maybe a little of everything is good.

Joy and Nick asked me to document their wedding at the Paradisus Resort in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.   What a beautiful place to share their love with their family and friends.   I hope it was everything you wanted it to be and I hope the pictures convey the emotion of the day and the beauty of you as a couple, your families, friends and the location.

Enjoy.
