I really don’t like the title “Trash the Dress” and as I was typing out my first blog post, I wrote that the girls had rocked their dresses…I think I like this title better.

So anyway, Laurie (who I had the pleasure of shooting her wedding) contacted me after her wedding saying that she and a few girlfriends wanted to go to Jasper to do a photoshoot.  I was totally in.  So I met Amber, Jamie and Laurie in Jasper and we had an absolutely fantastic day shooting around the town and in the surrounding area.

They totally rocked their dresses (who says you only get one day to wear your dress?)!!   BTW, after the dip in the lake, the dresses were sparkling clean again.

Enjoy your pictures ladies!  Thanks for including me in your day.

When M and R contacted me about their wedding in Camrose, I was so excited, I love country pictures!!  Their wedding day came and it was one of the hottest days of the year so far.  I felt bad for the guys in all their layers, but I think the ‘beverages’ helped keep the heat away.

M and R, you are a such fantastic couple.  I had a blast shooting your wedding and I hope you  had a great time as well.  Congratulations and I hope you enjoy this sneak peek of your wedding pictures.

For those of you who frequent my blog you may have read about my obsession with meaningful photography locations.  Sheena and Alex shared my passion!!  Our first stop was at Hudson’s Tap House on Campus (University of Alberta).  This is where they had one of their first dates.  Not only was it a great photography location, it was a nice ‘refreshing’ detour on a very hot summer day.   Our second stop was a beautiful location on campus and lastly was the River Valley…which reflects this outdoorsy couple to a T.

Thank you, Alex and Sheena, for including me in your day.  I had a blast and I hope you enjoy your sneak peek.

Very few things surprise me at weddings…don’t get me wrong, I LOVE weddings!!  After Roxanne warned me about Lahcen’s shyness and uncomfortableness in front of the camera, I decided to bring my ‘bag of tricks’ to ease him into the pictures…but he surprised us both.  Lahcen embraced the session with enthusiasm!!

So, congratulations to the both of you.  May you both find love, happiness and enthusiasm at every turn.

I have a thing with looking at magnets on people’s fridge (I think you can tell a lot about a home that way).  This magnet was on Roxanne’s sister’s fridge…I had to use it!!

While on a quick trip to see my sister and her family just outside of Vancouver, we had time to do some pictures for just her and her husband.  Here are a few from their couple session and I will post more from the family session soon.
