Ted and Jenn, where do I begin?  I always seem to have writers block when I’m blogging about friends….as I’m staring at the flashing cursor I’m thinking of words that describe you two…caring, genuine, funny, loving, generous, the list could go on and on.  But most of all when I think of you two I always think of you together…Jenn AND Ted…never one or the other separately.  I think this speaks volumes of your love for one another.  I have never met another couple who I can say with such certainty and sincerity that are perfect for one another.

Before I start to get all mushy, I just wanted to say thank you for allowing me to document your day (and for being some of my biggest fans, thank you for seeing the simplicity and the connection between people in my work and understanding it).  I hope that your images are just as beautiful to you as they are to me.

With all my love…

Two of the cutest kids in a wedding, EVER!!

I’ll do just about anything to get a great shot, even if that means wading into the mosquito infested river valley of Edmonton.  Yes, it isn’t surprising with the amount of rain we had this spring that the mosquitos would be out in full attack mode.  So DEETed up to the “manufacturer recommended levels”, we ventured into enemy territory…

So, I’m exaggerating a bit, but bugs aside, I love meeting up with past clients.  Little A was a newborn client of mine from way back…well 2 years to be more accurate and we had a wonderful evening exploring the river valley and hunting for elusive bears and frogs.  Along the way, stopping to take a few family pictures.

Thanks U family!!  I hope you enjoy your sneak peek.

Recently I had an opportunity to meet two wonderful families in Vancouver prior to our family adventure to Alaska.  Not only were they a joy to photography, they have been very patient in getting their online galleries and blog.

Wait no longer…here is your sneak peek!!

It has been a while since my last post, but I have been shooting a lot of boudoirs lately and no one willing to post their session on the blog.  So this will have to suffice until my next post (a personal photo essay…my first).

I had a wonderful opportunity to work with Kurtis, a talented photographer who has mastered off camera flash and was willing to teach it.  So off we went with a few eager photography junkies, two models and a lot of equipment.  Our first stop…a hay barn.  But with the cold Alberta wind and April snow, we didn’t last long outdoors.  Our next stop, the fire station where both of our models work.

A huge thank you to our teacher, Kurtis and the wonderful models.
